Interviews with artists

The myth of the 'heroic' artist, who spends night and day working, forgetting to eat and sleep, consumed by a passion for their art is one that we are very familiar with. For those of us trying to make art, it can be more than a little intimidating.

Thankfully, there are plenty of successful artists out there who manage to juggle paid employment, caring responsibilities and frankly, having a life, and still manage to make their way in the art world.

I'm doing a series of interviews with artists whose work I find inspiring to find out about the practicalities of how they make, why they make and any advice they might have on having a successful art practice. Click on the images of the artist's work below to see their interview.
